Areas I can help with

  • Trauma and PTSD

Your trauma may have been recent, historical, a one-off event, repeated events or a mixture of all of these. Trauma can lead to flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety and difficulties sleeping

  • Dissociative difficulties

Dissociation is a spectrum of experiences that can be triggered by feeling overwhelmed. These can be occasional or may become habitual and start to cause problems in everyday life

  • Anxiety and worry

Anxiety and worry are natural human experiences, but when these become persistent and intense, they can cause problems. I can help with anxiety problems including GAD, health anxiety, panic and phobias

  • Loss, bereavement and grief

It is usual to feel a mixture of emotions and distress after loss or bereavement, but if this persists or begins to worry you, it can be helpful to have space to work this through

  • Depression and low mood

Depression and low mood can affect people in many different ways - it may come and go, or it may be hard to shift. Whatever it looks like in your life, it can make everyday tasks feel like a huge mountain to climb

  • Psychosis and unusual experiences

Psychosis can sometimes be experienced as a disconnect from reality, leading people to sometimes feel very frightened, confused, isolated and paranoid. Unusual experiences can be hearing, seeing and feeling things that others may not

  • Low self-esteem and confidence

The beliefs we hold about ourselves can influence our mood, wellbeing and functioning. Often past experiences contribute to critical or negative beliefs about ourselves which, when processed, can help us begin to bring compassion to relationship with ourself and nurture more positive beliefs

  • Stress and work stress

Stress is a part of life, but when it becomes too much we can feel overwhelmed and start to experience difficulties. Developing an understanding of this and acquiring strategies to cope are key to maintaining positive mental health

  • Personal development

We can sometimes feel as if there are barriers in the way of us achieving our full potential. Therapy can be a place to develop an understanding of this and work on personal development for greater success, contentment and happiness
